Thank you for exploring my little website.
I am a storyteller and I have been honing my skills as a writer for a range of mediums: copywriting, events, stage, film, poetry, and essays. I am also a videographer and an experienced production assistant.
Here are the experiences I cherish the most as a budding creative:
Getting a Master in Creative Writing at the University of Sydney!
Having compassionate and intelligent cohorts taught me how to bring a sharp yet kind eye when editing written pieces, and gave me an open-minded outlook on my own writing process. I carry these lessons of reading closely, understanding intention, and giving succinct yet supportive feedback to both my personal work and in editing, collaborating, or writing for others!
Being a scriptwriter and production crew for the stage through my university organization, the Green Media Group
This built the foundation of how I work in production today!
Through running university-wide events, I learned how to be quick on my feet and present. It taught me how to adapt my writing to different styles and tones of events, and meet strict deadlines, while always nourishing the creativity needed for each script.
Having to fulfill multiple roles as a crew member for the organization taught me how to be a quick and adaptable learner. Working as a production assistant, sound or lights technician, and sometimes photographer gave me heaps of foundational tools into my creative toolkit which I still use today!
Shooting my first short film as a cinematographer during my final semester in UTS for the Media Practice and Industry postgraduate diploma!
All the tools from my toolkit were sharpened in this project! Collaborating with different creatives and personalities, and being inventive with lighting and camera setups (setting C-stands up like legos) in a limited space while working with a strict time frame expanded my capabilities and taught me how to be a more creative and compassionate filmmaker and team player. It made me fall in love with the production process so much more, and I continue to carry this passion and tenacity with me in all other projects.
